Live Long and Prosper

Well, it's time. I have considered the other options for a week in a Zen cave, but it is time. The wind is not favourable.

When I was looking at the schedule of the posts for the second season adventure, I noticed that the topics are probably not beneficial to the readers. That means they are also not beneficial to the project. That means they are also not beneficial to me. If it were my personal blog, the topics would be fine. But it isn't. If it were the proper time, there would be no problem. But this is unfortunately epilogging. This is about how I've been doing since the last season. This is about what I've been dealing with since the last "spring". Sorry, I have failed to eliminate Ban-nan 万難(all the obstacles). This is not just about the topics, this decision has been made based on my comprehensive assessment of the situations. In short, the wind is not favourable.

I selected the topics because they were the best thing I could show you. They were the subjects that I could write with passion. Just shutting everything down is a bit tasteless. So let me digest the second season and share the adventure one last time.

REVIEW: Jason Bourne

Well, let's talk about JB. Jelly Beans? Oh, thanks, that's sweet, but no, not that one. Jack Bauer? That's close. To me, it's Jason Bourne.

The Bourne series

Bourne series is a Hollywood blockbuster movie franchise which consisted of 'The Bourne Identity''The Bourne Supremacy''The Bourne Ultimatum'. Starring Matt Damon. Based on the novels of the same titles, written by Robert Ludlum, but the story was arranged so much and quite different from the original. And recently, the series got a new sequel, that is the film 'Jason Bourne'.

Why So Bourne

I love this series; first, the story has attractive elements — an assassin, a thirty-million-dollar multilingual human weapon, who lost his memory fights alone with the government agency all around the world so as to gain the lost memory and his life. Second, the score fit like a condom — sorry about the indecent figure of speech, but that's because — music by John Powell who also scored 'Face/Off'. The variety of location led to the variety of sound. Last, 'The Bourne Supremacy' was excellent as both an action movie and a sequel. 'The Bourne Identity', the first film of the series, had a fine harmony between story and actions. For instance, a man who has amnesia in the darkness-coming, conspiracy-hiding, melancholic atmosphere of rainy snowy winter John-Powell European places, and a dynamic car-chase on wet streets. The action scenes were rich in variety — CQC, gunfight, car stunt. Then they escalated action scene brilliantly in the sequel 'The Bourne Supremacy'. And Jason Bourne always survives in adverse conditions.

A Mirage of Guggenheim

Walk down the fifth avenue from the "Twilight" museum to the south. I saw a couple of museums from the street, then it showed up. The building of the distinguishing feature, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City designed by Frank Lloyd Wright(1867 -1959). I love his way of thinking in design works and the details that he designed. When I was a student I've visited Yodoko Guest House 旧山邑邸 in Ashiya, Japan. I loved it. The museum was designed in a different style from it but some things are common.

Just enter the building soon after taking the picture briefly. At the security gate, security officers check people's baggage. A black security officer checks my backpack, my half-eaten roll sandwich that fell off as soon as he opened the backpack gets him significantly. The officer came back to his duty after the short-time laughing and gave me permission to enter. In the hall at the ground level, some people are doing something like radio broadcasting. That seems to be related to the feature exhibition "On Kawara – Silence". They say that it is the first comprehensive retrospective exhibition of a Japanese conceptual artist On Kawara(1932 - 2014), conceived by the artist himself before his death on 10th July 2014 – my birthday last year. When I designed this journey, I looked into the museums and their locations but not the exhibitions. I unexpectedly encountered a compatriot in this foreign country. It is said that the artist born in Japan settled in the city of New York in 1965 after he experienced the life in Mexico, travels through Europe.

There and Back Again

Despite the lack of preparation, thank you for following me. I came home from Nîmes. I've already had Sushi, Yakitori, Udon, Natto, Miso soup, multigrain Rice.

At last, I saw Hans and his live show! That was so exciting! I didn't have the time to prepare for French conversation, but the knowledge of the country that I had acquired before this adventure was serviceable, and the word—this is one of my favourites—"choisir" served me well twice.

Choice is an illusion, however, we can make choices and that makes our lives. I was gratified with my choices. Hans' show, the Arena, Nîmes, Paris––, so then I got great experiences, fine chances. I saw beautiful cities, beautiful buildings, beautiful sights, beautiful women, a beautiful sun of Andalusia. It was quite an adventure.

Well, I'm very aware that I haven't "shared" so much. I haven't completed the adventure yet. I will come back soon. Yes, for epilogues, again. But first, we need to take a rest, get sustenance, have a cup of tea, and rearm and regroup.

The latter half of the second spring begins in July.

Hey, just don't call me "epilogger". The cat is sensitive.

The wind shines most brightly before the dawn.

REVIEW: Hans Zimmer Live Show in the Arena of Nîmes

His film music compositions to be felt with the whole body. An awesome show, a memorable night.

On 24th June 2017, in the Arena of Nîmes, a Roman amphitheatre. The theatre was filled to capacity. 08:30 pm, it began on schedule. I visited the event all the way from Kyushu, Japan. My seat was in the stage-right area, on the third level (in France, the second level). The live concert by German film music composer Hans Zimmer who has a successful career in Hollywood big movies was held in the historic city that is located in Southern France, near the Mediterranean Sea. It was a hot day.

The Return of the Cat

Oh, it's good to be back!

How is it going? Everyone is doing great, I hope. "The spring is gone"? "It's too late"? Well, I've got no particular change of circumstances, no mentally-painful events, but I've been busy! I'm not a full-time adventure blogger, unfortunately. Have you seen 'Iron Man 3'? It was something like "Sometimes you gotta start combat before all your tactical gears arrive", and that's the situation here.

And well, nice to meet you. You saw my tweet? You saw my card? You saw me today? Welcome to my adventure blog!

Couldn't get THERE, AND BACK AGAIN

I couldn't make it because of troubles. I'm fine but terribly disappointed. I wanted to lead you to a good end of the adventure. I was completely ready to mingle with his fans and talk about how awesome 90' Hans' guitar is, or to dispute with folks about which Hans' work we should choose for the night and have a bar fight in France. It didn't go well, but I believe he and I are connected and "we" will have another chance.

When an adventure ends, this blog ends.

That being said, I could hardly "share" this time. This company still have to make its way before we get home and have a cup of tea. So let me show you several more entries as an amusement on the way home, as an epilogue of the adventure, as a token of my appreciation.

Enjoy!

P. S. I've never seen a bar fight in French film. French people don't have a bar fight? Are they all...adult? They just have nicely briefly reasonably discussions? Are they all Sartre and Beauvoir?
